The Sweaty Details
How/when did your fitness journey start?
"It started in 2010 when my friend invited me to run with her and her group to raise awareness for Chron’s and Colitis. The last time that I ran was unwillingly around the track for high school. It turned out to be a lot more enjoyable than I thought and was the gateway to a healthier lifestyle."
What is your biggest fitness accomplishment?
"Triathlons were an excuse to finally learn how to swim and ride a bike… from zero knowledge. Thanks to Brad Rancourt, Thom Richmond, and many members at California Triathlon, that goal was realized. I was able to get from running only in March 2012 to completing Barb’s Race half ironman in July of 2013."
What is your next big fitness goal?
"After relaxing for a looooong time, I realized that fitness is directly tied to my level of happiness and how I cope with the stresses of work and life. As of now, I’m trying to keep that level up, but I may take a dip into the ultra running world next."
Why did you first choose giveStrength?
"There is a reason that I’ve been training consistently with Brad for the past 5 years. Both Brad and Stephanie live and breathe the positive message that they strive to share with the world. They are also fantastic trainers who aren’t afraid to adapt and evolve their regimen your body continues to strengthen. There is never a dull moment!"
What is your favorite thing about giveStrength - what keeps you coming back?
"I keep coming back for those eucalyptus towels!! In all seriousness, the format for their classes does a great job at kicking my but and my entire body effectively and efficiently so that I never skip a beat in my day. There is no excuse not to swing by since parking is never a problem, you’re in and out, and the people sweating by your side are pretty awesome."
Favorite song that gets you motivated to give your all in class?
"Just about any song with a great beat. Beyonce helps :)"

What is your go-to post- workout snack?

Since then, I’ve been on, soon to be 2, seasons of "How the Universe Works" and have consulted for shows on the side! It’s been a blast!"
